Perched above a majestic sweep of the Los Angeles coastline, Glennon Doyle and Abby Wambach’s dreamy California home is a wonderland of color: “I think the reason there’s a lot of color in the house,” Glennon told Architectural Digest, “is really because Abby let me be the boss of the colors in the house. I love color. I mean, this house is colorful in more ways than one: There’s children everywhere, there’s dogs everywhere, there’s an ex-husband everywhere. We allowed a lot of color. But it’s still, like, all earthy colors, so it doesn’t feel like a rainbow. Even though we are big freaking fans of rainbows.”

Designed by Kate Lester, the super couple’s home features loads of McLaurin & Piercy and Fermoie, which you can scroll down to see.

The family’s gorgeous rooftop features Fermoie’s Flag and Sicily. A quilt of simple shapes and texture, Flag is a playful use of positive and negative with a nod to the narrow weave and sewn shapes. It is printed on 100% linen and available in fifteen colorways.

Seaside stripes, folk costumes, and deco shapes form the essence of Sicily, printed on 100% cotton.

Daughter Amma’s bedroom features McLaurin & Piercy’s Palmetto, inspired by a large palmetto leaf collected from a day at the coast. It is available in six colorways: Cadet, Celestial, Grass, Jet, Lavender, and Mineral.

Daughter Tish’s room features McLaurin & Piercy’s Oxford and Caspian. Taking cues from stacks of dusty books and worn geometric tiles of a bygone era, Oxford gives rise to its namesake. It is available in three colorways: Teal, Berry, and Jet.

Caspian presents a fresh twist on a traditional stripe. It comes in four colorways: Berry, Indigo, Mineral, and Sand.
