In September 2020, Architectural Digest featured Décors Barbares-founder Nathalie Farman-Farma’s family home on Lake Tahoe, a stunning assemblage of Swedish flat-weave carpets, Turkey-red painted furniture, framed studies of Russian traditional clothing, and Eastern Orthodox icons, all reflecting her Russophile aesthetic. “The power of nature plus my reading of classic Russian novels—I just put two and two together in my head,” Farman-Farma told AD’s Mitchell Owens.

Here are some of our favorite pictures from the shoot, featuring Nathalie’s Véra and Eté Moscovite fabrics.
