In 1988, Ironware-founder Karen Eaton brought the original creations of Master Blacksmith Pierre Picard to America, creating a transatlantic partnership between Atelier Picard and Ironware that has lasted for more than 25 years. Today, each of Ironware's 500+ designs are made one at a time in a small Normandy village, and each piece is defined by the mark of Atelier Picard. The pieces are then finished in Ironware's sophisticated finishing studio in Nashville, where 35 patinas are meticulously hand-applied by their skilled artisans. Blending old and new, each of Ironware's fresh designs uses the finesse of old world craftsmanship to tell a 21st century story, creating pieces that are as rare as they are beautiful.
